Your subscribers and the law

Some people just don’t want to receive your e-mails, it hurts but it’s true!

Targeting people that haven’t heard of your company or aren’t interested in what you’re selling is likely to do you more harm that good and could wind you up in trouble with the courts.

In December 2003 new legislation came into force which has serious repercussions for email marketing.

‘The Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003’ (catchy I know!) Basically states that your marketing emails must comply with the following rules:

If you follow the above ‘golden rules’ you’ll be well on your way to keeping your customers happy.

Our e-mail marketing application Breeze has been designed to make legal compliance, well, a breeze.
